Greetings to you, Dear Reader! I have dedicated this website to one of the rarest and most beautiful breed of dogs: The Caucasian Mountain Dog….which is also called: a Caucasian Ovcharka, Caucasian Shepherd or Sheepdog; Nagazi (Georgian Republic), Gampr (Armenia);Kawkasky Owtscharka; Kaukasische Schaferhund in German or the “Beast from the East”. I will be postings interesting references about his huge dog. I hope to me it entertaining and informative! Welcome!

That’s it. That is the dog I saw. (Well,not THE dog, but I just kept saying, it looks like a medium sized brownie (bear). People here in Oklahoma could not fathom what the heck I was talking about, now I have photos!!!

I had one of these wonderful dogs for twelve years! I want another one but can’t find one that I can afford. He was my husbands best friend and part of our family.
