I have seen these dogs in thier natural environment in the Caucasus Mountains with nomadic herdsmen. In fact we took one in as a pup after a bear had broken its leg when he and his mother attacked it! So yes, they attack anything and everything in order to protect you and your belongings. God help you if they dont like you or think you are a threat.

Yes I agree with a lot of you say, you should not get this type of dog for the wrong reasons, they can be very, very dangerous beasts if they go to the wrong home. Think before you buy, they are a lot of work which you need dedication and time for. But the up side is, they are the very best friend you ever have!

this is a good site. but what i don't agree with is the advertisement of puppies, and telling people they are a great protection dog and very aggressive. if people want to own this beautiful breed, make them do research and get educated about the breed and talk to good reputable breeders. because here in america, people get dogs for the wrong reasons, and there are far to many idiots out there, and this breed will end up like the pitbull, which is also a beautiful breed. if you ever saw the national geographic show they did about the caucasian you will see what i mean. and the one idiot was acting like he had no control over the dog and making sound like he had cujo in his house. check the video out on youtube.
